Price a Catfish

Again, Lancaster:

he late word tonight is that David Price will be working out with Columbus for the next couple of weeks rather than Hudson Valley as we were originally told.

The primary reason given for that move is Columbus' season ends Sept. 3, four days earlier than Hudson Valley's, so Price will be able to get in some more class time at Vanderbilt. It also doesn't hurt that the Catfish's pitching coach, Bill Moloney, is the man in charge of overseeing the pitching during the instructional league.

Price is still not expected to pitch in any games, but he'll throw a few bullpens and do his best to get his work in before instructional league.

Makes sense.
