Carl Crawford Says He Feels Fast; Somewhere Catcher Arms Weep

Crawford worked out in Houston during the offseason rather than in Phoenix, where he has in the past, primarily because he wanted to work out on natural turf. Among his goals was to strengthen his hamstrings so he would not have any problems playing on Tropicana Field's artificial surface. And the American League should take note that Crawford declared: "[I] feel fast again."

If the cliche police fail to arrest Crawford by the regular season we'll see how much of this is legitimate and how much is simply spring training talk. If you recall last spring there was a huge ESPN.com piece pushing Crawford's off-season as one of freaktastical workouts that left him in awesome shape thanks to his personal gym. Hopefully the hamstring tidbit has some credence, that sounds delicious.
