Minor League Informer: Games of 5/2

AAA: Durham Bulls - 6, Columbus - 10

Uber prospect and Part Time Velociraptor David Price got the start. On a very low pitch count, he went Three and Two-Thirds innings, only struck out one, but walked three. He gave up four hits, and six runs, but only two of those were earned. Dale Thayer pitched one run inning, as did Dewon Day. Offensively, Matt Joyce went 3-5 with a homer, Chris Richard also went 2-4, homering and doubling.

AA: Montgomery Biscuits - 3, Mississippi -2

Heath Rollins was the starter for Montgomery, and had Seven innings pitched, two strikeouts, one walk, but also had two earned runs on seven hits, but his 13 groundouts to 5 flyouts bailed him out somewhat. Eduardo Morlan and Calvin Medlock each pitched a scoreless inning. Desmond Jennings continues his torrid pace, going 3-5 with a double.

Matt Spring - 0-3, BB

A+:  Charlotte Stone Crabs - 4, Fort Myers - 6

Jesse Darcy got the start for the Crabs, and got shelled. Six Innings, 10 Hits, five earned runs, only two strikeouts, although no walks. Offensively, Ryan Royster went 2-4 with a Double, and Reid Fronk went 2-2 with 2 walks.

A:  Bowling Green Hot Rods - 7, Rome - 1

Lefty prospect extroadinaire Matt Moore was on, Pitching five Innings, Striking out seven, Only walking one, with the only blemish being a solo HR. Number one pick Tim Beckham went 2-5 with 2 RBIs, and 3rd Round Pick(And personal Mancrush) Jake Jeffries went 3-5 with 2 RBIs.
