So I haven't done one of these since May 11 so I figured it would be a good idea to see how things have moved in the last 2 months. I'm not going to go as in depth, because, frankly, I don't have the time right now, and it seems like overkill anyways.

Thanks be to Fangraphs
As you can see the Rays are getting a ton of production out of our positional players. The pitching is still above average (barely):

By league-average value we are above average, but our median puts us right in the middle. We have pitched better than the Yankees, which is a great sign going forward. As far as positional value, well, the results speak for themselves.

A lot of this comes from our league-leading Fielding Value of 37.1, before adjustments. The next closest team is the Mariners at 33.4, while the worst team are the NatinLOLs at -33.4. The worst AL club is the Tribe at -23.5. As far as the batting side goes, we are second to the Yankees (97.9) at 89.7. The next closest team after that is the Angels at 47.8. That is a gap of roughly 42 value dollars!
Finally, let's take at the MLB-wide rankings for the relevant categories for just the AL East:

If the Red Sox do have a chink in their armor, it is the defense. The Yankees are proving that hitting the piss out of the ball is a great way to win games, while our inconsistent starting pitching hasn't be able to take full advantage of how well round our club is. The Blue Jays are forever on the cusp, I just hope that in 5 years we don't feel how their fans have felt over the last 5.
