According to Cuban baseball blog Las Avispas, Juan Yasser Serrano worked out for the Rays last Wednesday.  Here is a translation from their website:

The young pitcher Juan Yasser Serrano looking for a professional baseball contract this past Wednesday held a private meeting Stingrays bullpen for Tampa Bay.

Yasser has been quite active in recent days with no fewer than 10 organizations leaguers showing some degree of interest in it.
Before the Tampa Bay just to show his repertoire, with emphasis on the location of pitches and control over its arsenal, including two and four straight seams. Reports indicate that the Villa Clara looked good from the mound. Earlier the boy had been observed to face hitters. Juan Yasser Serrano excelled in Cuba in the national teams of minor categories and was in full development as a pitcher when he decided to pursue my dream of playing baseball in the best conditions mundo. Juventud and not lacking in commitment.

This probably doesn't mean much, as apparently at least 10 other teams have interest, but its nice to see the Rays kicking the tires on another international prospect.
