#yankees agree to terms with rafael soriano

soriano deal is thought to be for about $35 million for 3 yrs

I'm glad we're not paying a reliever that much, but man, the Yankees are going to have one heck of an eighth and ninth inning combination next year. We'll be getting the Yankees' first round pick, which is nice, but I'm sure it won't be too much consolation when we face Soriano next season.

It seems that after realizing they couldn't find another starter on the market (with Pettitite giving them his final word), the Yankees decided to go buck wild and throw some money around on a reliever. I can't say I blame them, but man....just man. That's a huge contract.
