The Rays beat the Sox last night 7-3, behind homeruns from Shoppach, Zobrist, Longoria, and Ramirez. Farnsworth, Peralta, and Cruz all looked good in their outings, holding the Sox combined for 4.2 innings while striking out 7. Is it just me, or is anyone else getting slightly excited to see our bullpen in action once the season starts? (Also, for more of a recap, check out the brief writeup at SBN TB. Once the season starts we'll have full writeups on every game here, but these late night Spring Training games have been weird.)
Today, Wade Davis gets the start, as Maddon shuffled him around a bit to get him lined up to be the Rays' third starter behind Price and Shields. Many of the regulars are getting some time off after last night's game.
