GDT 4-29-11: Zorilla Tee Shirt Night

The Rays (13-11) and Angels (13-11) will square off in a bit. David Price will be opposite of Ervin Santana -- who will no doubt be hoping Ben Zobrist had an uncomfortable flight back from Minnesota. Ol' Zobee has clobbered 4 home runs during this recent 5-game winning streak and has been altogether sick at the plate lately. He's up to 7 home runs after having only 10 all last year.

Here's the lineup:

Fuld, S, LF
Damon, J, DH
Upton, B, CF
Joyce, M, RF
Zobrist, B, 2B
Kotchman, C, 1B
Lopez, F, 3B
Jaso, J, C
Brignac, R, 2B

Casey Kotchman's back in there, making it 3 starts in a row. Possible reasons: (1) the Rays think Kotchman has turned his hitting around and deserves a shot to prove himself, (2) they Rays hope they can pump Kotchman's value and turn him into a young hitter for the minors, or maybe (3) Kotchman has a gun and is holding Joe Maddon hostage.

In my opinion, the options become more likely the higher their number is.

Other news: The once-oh-and-six Rays are 1.5 games behind the division-leading Yankees. Booyah.
