Bit of a slow day yesterday...

High-A Charlotte Stone Crabs (6-12)

Charlotte was off.

Low-A Bowling Green Hot Rods (10-8)

Short Season-A Hudson Valley Renegades (12-10)

Rookie Princeton Rays (11-10)

Rookie Gulf Coast League Rays (8-11)

After scoring quickly in the top of the first, the GCL Rays fell behind and lost to the GCL Orioles 5-1. With two outs, the rehabbing Nevin Ashley singled and came around to score on an Armando Araiza double. The Orioles would then score five runs over the first five innings to cruise to victory. As their DH, Ashley went 1/4 with a strikeout. Jorge Rodriguez started and was charged with all five runs, but only two of them were earned. In his third pro appearance, Nolan Ganon struck out three in three scoreless innings. Benjamin Kline collected two more hits and walked, so his average remains over .500.
