Welcome back to This Week in Sun Sports, kids. As always, we'll be looking at the oddities of the Rays broadcasts from this past week. Anything from the announcing, to a crazy video segment, to the fans in the stands. If it's on Sun Sports, we see it. Because-- like Todd Kalas on overzealous fans--we're always watching.
Saturday, July 14th- Wednesday, July 18th

With the All-Star Break behind us, we've got a bit of extra baggage this week, so we'll split it up. We'll go half way in this edition, and finish up the rest next week.
In the top of the second, Mike Aviles seemed nonplussed with his steal percentage. (First person to guess the % gets a free dinner for two.)
Looks surprisingly tight-lipped, if you ask me.
If you think you won the dinner for two, here you go (h/t nomoredevil and Paul Ellis):
That's Kelly Shoppach on the left with the Red Sox third base coach checking
his oil up on him. Dewayne and BA were all over the junk in his trunk in the fifth inning:
BA: What is he carrying? Two cans of pop in his back pockets.
DS: You never know when you might get hungry. I see a sandwich in there.
BA: He plans on being out there for a while. A dessert in the left pocket.
Shoppach has lunch, Peralta gets traded to the LA Valley, and some fun with Casey Kotchman,,, after the jump...
This next gif was from before the game, but is here thanks to the GFFP. This is for all of you that liked the .gif of Luke Scott. Here's the Ben Zobrist version:
Sunday, July 15th
Shoppach held out a day, but couldn't hold out forever. In the bottom of the first, he decided to start snacking (h/t pudieron89):
Monday, July 16th
In the top of the seventh, Joel Peralta almost took two balls to the face:
Tuesday, July 17th
H/T to Jason Collette for this next .gif of Casey Kotchman making an error on a Zobrist grounder in the bottom of the third inning. I love the file name: TragcOfKotch.gif.
(Click to embrace the tragic magic.)

I was going to go into this one with more detail, but Jeff Sullivan got to it first in his This Week in Worst. Go check it out if you want to see Jeremy Hellickson literally wipe a smile off his face (2nd set of gifs). It's pretty great.
