According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the Rays may have their starting catcher back next season.

Molina, 38, made $1.5M in each of the last two seasons with the Rays, appearing in 201 games across both seasons.

Known for his ability to frame pitches and influence catcher decisions on balls and strikes, Molina had his best season at the plate since 2009. Despite his .233/.290/.304 batting line, Molina hit 50 singles, 14 doubles, and two home runs.
