Craig Biggio is not only on the ballot for the Hall of the Fame this year, but he is also being inducted into the Ted Williams Museum’s Hitters Hall of Fame. The Ted Williams Museum will be hosting an Induction Dinner and Ceremony on Saturday, February 1st at 6:00 PM at Tropicana Field. The ceremony will be hosted by Rays All-Stars, Ben Zobrist and David Price, featuring Alex Cobb and Chris Archer.
The Class of 2014 inductees into the Museum will include Biggio, former Rays Johnny Damon and James Shields, Frank Howard, Dwight Gooden, and Jim "Mudcat" Grant. Along with the dinner and ceremony, there is also an autograph session beforehand included with your admission. Per the Ted Williams Museum website, the players who will be signing include Alex Cobb, Tony Oliva, Chris Archer, Denny McLain, Jake McGee, Grant Balfour, Brandon Gomes, Jake McGee, Cecil Fielder, Bill Singer, Jeff Locke, Richie Scheinblum, Mike LaValliere, Doug Waechter, Mike Difelice, Roy White, Mark Whiten, and Scott McGregor.
Tickets for the dinner will be on sale for $125 beginning today and can be purchased through www.TedWilliamsMuseum.com. Proceeds go towards Project 14 and the Ted Williams Foundation. You’ll not only get a delicious dinner, but also have the opportunity to mingle with some of the biggest names on the Rays, all while supporting great causes!
