Ahead of the first game against the Red Sox this evening, we've already got entertainment in the Rays clubhouse:

A latin band has joined the Rays this afternoon, with plantains hanging in the clubhouse (specifically by Fernando Rodney and Joel Peralta's lockers).

Plantains were the Dominican mascot of the 2013 World Baseball Classic, something Fernando had brought to the Rays in May after a rough month in April. He'd previously closed seven of eight games for the Dominican Team in March. As you can see, the guys are already getting in on the fun.

We'll update with anymore interesting things as they crop up on twitter this afternoon.

Go Rays!

UPDATE:

The band is back in session, and Kelly Nash has her own vine to share:

Hover over the video to find the volume icon, which is defaulted on mute. It's a good sound.

Marc Topkin also tweeted that after a DJ and a latin band, David Price would like Maddon to start taking requests. His pick: the Spice Girls.
