Triple-A Durham Bulls (35-21)
In his first start back with the Bulls after his short major league stint, Jake Odorizzi ran into trouble as the Bulls lost by the score of 9-1. He lasted only 4.2 innings, allowing four runs on eight hits and three walks. Adam Liberatore could not keep the game close in his relief of Odorizzi; he was hit around for five runs in 1.2 innings. A Wil Myer-less Bull's offense did not manage much against Scranton's pitching, combining for eight singles and two walks. Brandon Guyer was about the only bright spot, going 3-4 in the game.
Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (28-27)
It was a dull day for Biscuit fans as the Montgomery Biscuits quietly fell to the Mississippi Braves 6-1. Victor Mateo and Braulio Lara both continued their poor stretches of pitching, surrendering three runs each. No Biscuit hitter reached base via hit more than once.
Advanced Class-A Charlotte Stone Crabs (24-28)
The Stone Crabs sneaked by the St. Lucie Mets in their 2-1 victory in seven innings. Parker Markel continued his recent turnaround, lasting six innings with only one run charged to his name. Nate Garcia earned the save with a scoreless seventh inning. Drew Vettleson, Willie Argo, and Taylor Motter each hit a double while Ryan Brett smacked his first home run of the year.
The second game of the planned double header was postponed.
Class-A Bowling Green Hot Rods (30-25)
Bowling Green continued their recent slide, losing Saturday night to South Bend by the score of 7-0. Starter Reinaldo Lopez was hammered for seven runs and left the game with two outs in the fourth. Luke Maile and Leonardo Reginatto collected the four Hot Rod hits.
Star of the Day: Parker Markel pitched well enough for the win.
Goat of the Day: There were plenty of poor pitching performances and quiet bats with only the Stone Crabs winning their game.
