A recap of the minor league action.

Matt Ryerson-US PRESSWIRE

Triple-A Durham Bulls (36-21)

With Wil Myers back in the lineup, Durham cruised to a 7-4 victory over Scranton. Myers was the heart of the Bull's offense, driving in three runs by hitting a home run, a triple, and a double. Shelly Duncan, Cole Figueroa, and Juan Apodaca also hit home runs. Mike Montgomery rebounded somewhat from his last dreadful start, pitching six innings of three run ball with four strikeouts and only one walk. Yates struck out four of the five batters he faced, with the one non-strikeout a home run.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (28-28)

Jake Flothe did not fare well in his Double-A debut, going only four innings while allowing five runs in the Biscuit's 11-4 blowout loss. Marquis Fleming allowed the other six runs in his one inning of work. Keith Castillo had a big day offensively, going 4-5 with a double and a home run.

Advanced Class-A Charlotte Stone Crabs (25-29)

The Stone Crabs won their first game of the double header by the score of 7-4. Ryan Brett hit two triples, Hector Guevara had two hits, and Jeff Malm launched a home run. Rivero struggles, battling through 3.1 innings before getting ejected from the game. He allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three. Christopher Kirsch came into the game and pitched 2.2 scoreless innings.

The second game did not go as well as the Stone Crabs were defeated by the score of 5-3. The Stone Crabs offense made the most of their opportunities, scoring three runs despite just five hits. Hector Guevara and Willie Argo both hit home runs. Jacob Partridge and Eliazer Suero both stumbled through their multiple innings of work.

Class-A Bowling Green Hot Rods (30-26)

Taylor Guerrieri was roughed up in the Hot Rod's 8-6 loss. In the worst start of his pro career, Guerrieri allowed 11 hits, two of them home runs. Six runs were charged to his name. Marcus Jensen and Nick Sawyer each gave up a run in relief. Marty Gantt and Tyler Goeddel both hit home runs.
