Some days I wish I had the ability to search my house -- Google it, we could say -- for items I need. At this moment, I just want to know if we have alcohol swabs. I would like to search "alcohol swabs," and if zero results came up, I would go to the store and buy alcohol swabs. If one result came up, I would take those alcohol swabs, disassemble my 8-year-old Dell Insipiron 6000 laptop, and then promptly replace the thermal paste on the CPU.
Yeah, it may not help the already near-dead laptop improve in its most basic role (act as a second monitor so I can work and watch MLB.tv or Netflix at the same time), but if nothing else, it will be like prepping a body before a funereal -- while also learning a little bit about biology along the way!
Miguel Cabrera has a 150 wRC+ in his career, and in 2013, he's at 197 wRC+. He's basically Chris Davis, production-wise, this season. Dusting out and cleaning my old laptop may be more an exercise in computer exploration than computer restoration, and in the same sense, pitching to Migual Cabrera is like practicing your homerun twist-and-watch. He will hit doubles and homers. He may hit very well in this series. But for the pitchers, the best way to pitch to Miggy is with the bases empty and lowered expectations of your own ability.
