The Rays Tank: 1st will wait another day

New, comments

The Rays final game of the four-game set in Boston was rained out yesterday, so the team will travel on to New York for the weekend today; only to return to the Red Sox for the make-up game Monday.

Oh, the anticipation.

Due to rain, the impending clinch of the best record in the American League and the top spot in the East will have to wait another day. Hopefully, that day is today... Go Orioles?

Note: the Red Sox have been alone atop the AL East since May 27th...time for that streak to end.

Considering the lack of a game, Rays news was rather lacking.

Per @SunSportsRays, the rotation should now be the following:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href=";src=hash">#Rays</a> will pitch Hellickson, Archer and Moore @ NYY, then decide Mon. @ BOS between <a href="">@DAVIDprice14</a> or Hernandez. The other would pitch Tues.</p>&mdash; SunSportsRays (@SunSportsRays) <a href="">July 26, 2013</a></blockquote><script async src="//" charset="utf-8"></script>

Today the Rays open up a weekend series in the Bronx against the Yankees, who are currently 6.5 games out of first and dealing with quite the bit of A-Rod drama.

Quote of the Day:
