Monday, September 9th, is the final remaining off day for the rest of the regular season for the Rays. Yesterday’s day off brought us the news of two new acquisitions for the Rays. Delmon Young signed a minor league contract with Tampa Bay and is reporting to Montgomery, and David DeJesus was claimed off of waivers with a deal to be finalized today, per Marc Topkin.
This weekend the Rays take on the Yankees for a three-game series at the Trop. The expected pitching matchups are Archer-Kuroda, Price-Sabathia, and Cobb-Nova on Sunday. On Saturday the 24th, there is a Moore Cowbell giveaway and the Rays wives are selling Mystery Balls with proceeds benefitting All Children’s Hospital.

Reminder: On 8/24, #Rays wives will host the 3rd annual Mystery Ball to benefit @allchildrens.Get info here: http://t.co/JhzKM7AhpV
— Tampa Bay Rays (@RaysBaseball) August 22, 2013
