David Price has been a man ablaze with holy majesty since returning from the DL. Tim Lincecum has a 130 ERA-minus, his second straight bad season. But these two aces may be closer than their massively disparate ERAs. In fact, there's a chance Lincecum is getting Roberto Hernandez'd, given his solid 3.53 SIERA.
Lincecum has been tortured by the home run ball, and the torture has persisted 1+ season. His fastball velocity is way down these past two seasons, so who knows? Maybe this new ERA is the new Lincecum. Or maybe he's on the cusp of regression. Hopefully the Rays will forestall that second possibility at least another start.
