Anyone else sick? I'm sick. Bleh.
To keep with tradition, here's a look at David Price's Spring Training stats entering tonight's game:
Player | ERA | IP | H | R | ER | HR | BB | SO | HB | GO | AO | K% | BB% |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Price, D | 2.7 | 13.1 | 7 | 4 | 4 | 1 | 2 | 15 | 3 | 13 | 12 | 29% | 4% |
In short: He's been pretty great. It's kinda exciting because his walk rate has been trading down for years now, and he's so far just about matched his absurd 3.7% walk rate from 2013. I'm excited!
That being said: I'm not sure if Price is even the best pitcher in the rotation right now. I think Alex Cobb may well be a Cy Young contender. Really, either of these guys could be in the race.
