I recall there being a food-related team logo makeover somewhere on the internet over the last year or two. I wish I could find it.
I'm not sure what the food would be for the Rays. I think it was grits or something, but really that probably belongs to Atlanta or some other southern team or deep south. I think seafood is more a part of Florida than southern cooking. I dunno. I reserve the right to be wrong.
What about oysters? I love oysters. And they keep with aquatic/seafood component of the Rays brand. Oysters also give you the ability to produce flatulence powerful enough to cut through the space-time fabric. I kinda like that too. It's like weaponized digestion.
Sam Fuld is actually in the lineup today! Let's hope he doesn't go all Elliot Johnson on the Rays. Geez, that guy can't make an out against Tampa Bay pitching.
