Rays at Red Sox GDT 3: Second Thursday game

Now it's Archer's turn!

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

So the Red Sox started the first game with a 59% win expectancy. Cesar Ramos versus Jake Peavy -- I mean, c'mon. But such is the fluid nature of baseball. Ramos overcame that rough first inning, and though he walked 6 batters, he stayed near the zone all game and pitched rather well.

This is a guy, let's remember, who as a starter in the minors was a consistent FIP-beater. I think his defense may be -- sexier -- than we previously thought:

All that said, winning this second game of the series was huge. Holding this offense to just 1 run was incredible.

Winning one game was so fun; let's win two!
