Rays RP Jake McGee was left off of the roster, despite having arguably the best season of his career. McGee, who has a 1.17 ERA with 38.1 IP. He almost always throws a fastball, which is part of what makes McGee so impressive. He's beating hitters even when they know exactly what's coming.
Well, unless you are Manny Machado.
Rays manager Joe Maddon has gone out of his way to convince the powers at be to select McGee for the AL roster, but to no avail.
Looking at the rosters, it would appear the American League would be the early favorites to win the game and capture home field advantage for the World Series. Of course, All-Star games are nearly impossible to predict, so evaluate at your own risk.
