Early this morning, news broke that the Rays and Cubs had reportedly spoken about possibly sending three time top 100 prospect, Javier Baez to the Rays as Chicago is seeking pitching of any kind.
That news has since been confirmed by multiple sources.
Source: #Rays have indeed talked to #Cubs about Baez, as @TBTimes_Rays reported. TB has both starters and relievers to trade.

#Rays target with #Cubs is definitely Baez. They are weighing a handful of deals with other teams to similarly add pitching for hitting.

Meanwhile, one of the possible pitchers the Rays could trade, Jake Odorizzi, they've actually sent him an extension proposal. Taking his name off the table if he were to accept.
#Rays have made multiyear offer to extend RHP Jake Odorizzi. Agent Jason Wood confirms mutual interest, working on counter offer.

So if the Odorizzi extension talks come to fruition, the Rays may send either Matt Moore or Alex Cobb to Chicago.
From what I've heard, Baez may not be the only player coming from ChiTown.
Source: Rays have had interest in Cubs' Baez for a while, also (unsurprisingly) really like Schwarber. Schwarber for relievers unlikely.
