Rays Spring Training: Who won Picture Day?

Them Eyes. The hopes of an entire season can be seen in Kevin Kiermaier's eyes.

It's one of the most very best days of the year - PICTURE DAY.

The Rays have had some stellar, awkward picture day photo shots in the past, and they've grown more pleasant as the years carry on. I'm wonderfully privvy to most of them, thanks to SB Nation's subscriptions to some photo services, and this year is no different.

Top Ten, here we go!

10. Juan Francisco

The cap-turned-sideways award goes to Juan Francisco, the slugger hoping to make it out of Rays camp (with an opt out to peace out if he doesn't) is here to be the resident cool factor on the team.

9. Nick Franklin

Nick Franklin provides us with a well kept beard. If he exhibit that same care for his face as he might left of second base, and we have ourselves a real starter.

8. Hak Ju Lee

Rivaling Brandon Guyer for the best tinder profile attempt, here is Hak Ju Lee losing something in translation.

"Are you feeling me? I'm feeling me."

7. Kevin Cash

The manager of this baseball team may not actually know how to smile. I don't know how he won the front office over so well, this might be a huge flaw.

6. Enny Romero

For the best "and this is a baseball" photo, I present the falling stock that is Enny Romero

5. Desmond Jennings

Jennings entered camp a little lighter in weight this season. So did his mustache.

Jennings is looking smooth. Sliding into your DM's I'm sure.

4. Dylan Floro

Dylan Floro's complete inability to give a f*** is the clear winner of "trying to look mean at picture day" which Alex Cobb so wonderfully fails at every year.

Are you intimidated? I'm intimidated.

3. Ernesto Frieri

Ernesto Frieri is just really glad to be here you guys, and all of his pictures show it. This one in particular.

Oh wait hold on, they posted one of him looking really frightened. As if he remembered how well last year went for him. Maybe that's his best instead.

2. Brandon Guyer

Someone thinks he's Gabe Kapler, I don't know what he's doing but all his pictures look like he's shooting for Cosmo.

Fierce, Brandon.

Honorable Mentions

Most awkward ears: The Boog

There are so many ears that look strange on picture day. None more so than the gremlin Boog Powell:

Just edging out Souza and Mahtook, it should be said.

Best Smile

Surprising result, given the presence of Kevin Kiermaier on the roster, but here we are. The best toothy aspect of picture day:

What a veteran presence on this team.

Legitimately the Best Picture

This picture has absolutely everything you want.

Baseball item out of focus, goofy smile, happy to be here.

Already a great receiver, thanks for delivering Rene.

The Winner of Picture Day

1. Ryan Brett's Beard

Are you ready for this?

Are you?

Good Lord.

That's a forest.

We are already anticipating Ryan Brett to earn himself a September promotion to run the base paths, but that beard was ready for Post Season play yesterday.

Just look at the detail.

It's glorious.

Grade 8.
