Montgomery and Chattanooga have combined to strike out 87 times in three games so far this season.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (2-1)

Matt Buschmann made his return to the Rays in Durham's 4-1 win over Gwinnett. He walked four in 5 2/3 innings but struck out three and only allowed an unearned run on three hits. Up 2-1 in the ninth, Corey Brown drove in two with a double to give the Bulls some insurance. Jake Elmore had three hits, and Ryan Brett, Joey Butler and Eugenio Velez each reached base three times.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (1-2)

The two home runs Zach Cooper allowed were the difference in Montgomery's 4-3 loss to Chattanooga. First, Adam Walker's solo shot broke a 2-2 tie, and top prospect Byron Buxton followed later in the seventh with a solo homer of his own. The Biscuits wasted a solid effort from starter Jared Mortensen, who allowed two runs -- one earned -- on four hits and a walk in six innings with nine strikeouts. Richie Shaffer reached base three times and drove in a run, but Montgomery combined to strike out 12 more times.

Class-A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (1-2)

Up 3-0 after six innings, Charlotte allowed four unanswered runs in its 11-inning 4-3 loss to Fort Myers. Alex Colome was the second Rays starter to rehab for the Stone Crabs in their opening series, and he struck out one and allowed three hits in three scoreless innings. Chris Kirsch allowed a run in 4 2/3 innings, but the game unraveled in the ninth when Justin McCalvin allowed a game-tying two-run home run to Marcus Knecht. The Miracle walked off against Isaac Gil two innings later. Andrew Velazquez set the table for the Stone Crabs with a pair of hits and a walk.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (1-2)

Jace Conrad's triple in the 12th led Bowling Green to its first win of the season, a 7-5 triumph over South Bend. After Thomas Milone scored on the three-base hit, Casey Gillaspie's sac fly scored Conrad to provide the winning margin. Conrad had three hits, drove in two runs, scored twce and stole a base. Hyrum Formo pitched the bare-minimum quality start on five hits and no walks with three strikeouts, and Brian Miller was credited with the win and a blown save after allowing an unearned run in three innings with four strikeouts.
