I had to guess on Durham's probable and didn't even care to for Charlotte.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (12-10)
Dylan Floro struggled in Durham's 4-2 loss to Lehigh Valley. After Taylor Motter and Eugenio Velez plated runs in the second to give the Bulls a 2-1 lead, Floro gave up the lead in the bottom half of the inning. In the fourth, the IronPigs scored a pair of two-out runs, and Floro finished with four runs allowed on nine hits and three walks in 4 2/3 innings with three strikeouts.
Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (10-11)
Jaime Schultz struggled, but the offense picked him up in Montgomery's 10-6 win over Mississippi. A three-run home run in the first gave Mississippi a quick 3-0 lead, but the Biscuits countered with a five-run third. Patrick Leonard and Tyler Goeddel each drove in two runs on extra-base hits, and Tommy Coyle plated the fifth run. Mississippi tied the game in the bottom half of the inning and finished with five runs allowed on seven hits and two walks in five innings with three strikeouts. Matt Lollis and Parker Markel combined to allow a run over the final four innings while the offense piled up insurance.
Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (14-7)
Enny Romero made his return to the mound in Charlotte's 5-3 loss to Fort Myers. In his first rehab appearance, Romero needed 55 pitches (33 strikes) to get through 1 2/3 innings, allowing a run on two hits and two walks with two strikeouts. German Marquez fared even worse, getting tagged for three runs on four hits and five walks in four innings. The five walks set a new career high.
Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (12-9)
Bowling Green jumped on Great Lakes early and cruised to a 5-0 win over the Loons. All five Hot Rods runs came with two outs in the first inning. Justin Williams, Grant Kay and Coty Blanchard each drove in runs, and Mac James capped the inning with a two-run hit. With the early run support, Hyrum Formo struck out four in six scoreless innings with five hits and two walks.
