There are two doubleheaders on the schedule today, provided the Threshers are healthy enough to play.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (19-13)
Taylor Motter led off the game with the home run, but Buffalo ran away from Durham in the Bulls' 9-4 loss to the Bisons. Dylan Floro allowed three runs in the first, and Buffalo scored five runs before Durham could get on the board again. After Floro exited having allowed five runs in five innings, Jake McGee struck out two in a rehab appearance, and Bryce Stowell and Grant Balfour each gave up a pair of insurance runs.
Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (14-17)
Montgomery failed to score and fell victim to Dan Vogelbach in a 4-0 loss to Tennessee. The Smokies got on the board in the first inning without the benefit of the hit, and even though that was the only run he allowed, Jaime Schultz still struggled. He only allowed two hits in five innings but walked five. Zach Cooper allowed a pair of home runs, including one to Vogelbach, and Cameron Seitzer had to record the last out of the game on the mound.
Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (20-10)
Charlotte was postponed out because too many players on Clearwater were sick.
Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (19-12)
Brent Honeywell was not at his best, and he got little support in Bowling Green's 3-1 loss to West Michigan. Honeywell struck out five and walked none in three innings, but he did allow two runs on five hits. The Hot Rods could only score on Casey Gillaspie's infield hit in the sixth inning.
