Offense was up quite a bit in the organization yesterday compared to Monday.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (20-19)

Durham's scoreless streak ended in game one against Rochester, but it was on the short end of a 4-3 decision. Down 3-0, Vince Belnome's sacrifice fly in the fifth finally got the Bulls on the board, but the Red Wings got that run back immediately. Jake Elmore drove in a run in the eighth, and Hak-Ju Lee hit his first home run in the ninth. Starter Scott Diamond allowed four runs -- three earned -- on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings.

The Bulls got off to a fast start and held on for a 4-2 win in game two. Eugenio Velez doubled in a run and scored himself in the first, and two innings later, Durham scored another pair of runs to go up 4-0. Enny Romero got the game two start and fared well, throwing four scoreless innings with three strikeouts and only allowing two hits and a walk. Jhan Marinez followed up with three strikeouts in three hitless innings.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (17-21)

Jared Mortensen was crushed in Montgomery's 10-3 loss to Chattanooga. A day after Blake Snell contained the Lookouts' lineup, they jumped all over Mortensen, and their hot start was capped by Byron Buxton's fourth-inning grand slam. Mortensen left after finishing that inning, having allowed eight runs on eight hits in four innings. Before the grand slam, the Biscuits cut their deficit to 4-2 with Patrick Leonard's double and Justin O'Conner's groundout.

Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (25-13)

After falling behind 2-0 through half an inning, Charlotte stormed back for an 11-3 win over Jupiter. Ryne Stanek allowed the first three batters of the game to reach on the Hammerheads' way to a two-run inning, but the Stone Crabs responded immediately with five in their first at-bat. Jupiter conceded the first run, but four straight hits put Charlotte on top. Stanek allowed three runs -- two earned -- on five hits and two walks in five innings with two strikeouts. After he departed, the Stone Crabs piled on with another five-run inning, led by Maxx Tissenbaum's two-run triple.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (22-16)

Bowling Green battled back to earn an 8-7 win over West Michigan. The Whitecaps tacked on an insurance run in the top of the eighth to go up 6-4, but Jace Conrad erased that in the home half of the inning with a three-run inside-the-park home run. Riley Unroe later singled in another run that proved vital. The Hot Rods' staff was hammered for 17 hits with starter Hyrum Formo allowing three runs in six innings. Mike Franco was tagged for three runs on six hits in 1 2/3 innings.
