If you forgot who Dayron Varona is, and I certainly did, here is a refresher.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (26-22)

Dylan Floro continued to pitch like his old self in Durham's 2-1 win over Rochester. A start after throwing six scoreless innings against Masahiro Tanaka, he was sharp again, allowing just one run on eight hits and a walk in seven innings with seven strikeouts, a season high, and getting 10 outs on the ground and none in the air. Taylor Motter's fifth-inning double tied the score, and Corey Brown won it in the seventh with a home run.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (21-25)

At one point, Montgomery was losing 1-0, but eventually, the Biscuits won 14-1. They got on the board with a four-run third inning, and already up 6-1, they blew the game open with five in the eighth. Boog Powell hit a two-run single, and Tyler Goeddel's two-out hit scored two more. In the ninth, Daniel Robertson's double against a position player on the mound scored two in a three-run inning. After allowing an unearned run in the first, Bradin Hagens fought through six innings, allowing just hat run on three hits and four walks with a strikeout.

Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (31-14)

A nice offensive effort backed Chris Kirsch's strong outing in Charlotte's 7-3 win over Brevard County. While Kirsch was striking out five in six scoreless innings, the Stone Crabs tallied a pair of three-run frames. Willy Adames hit a two-run single to contribute to the third, and the new guy, Dayron Varona, tripled in two in the fourth as Charlotte eventually took a 6-0 lead. Jordan Harrison was charged with all three Manatees runs.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (27-19)

Henry Centeno was solid in Bowling Green's 8-4 win over Lansing. He allowed a solo home run in the second, but had no trouble otherwise, scattering five hits and striking out five with no walks in six innings. The Hot Rods took advantage of a sixth-inning error to pile up a three-run inning, and after the Lugnuts pulled closer with three of their own in the eighth, RBI doubles by Justin Williams and Bralin Jackson in the eighth and a sacrifice fly from Nick Ciuffo put the game away.
