Rays add two more to disabled list

How has Silverman done with this roster?

Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

We have more DL news to announce, and we'll get to that in a second, but In light of Brandon Gomes again being in the bullpen, I must ask: How have you felt about the Rays depth?

Topping out at 12 men on the disabled list yet again, with the injury count reaching 20 across the season, the Rays are treading above .500 and are about to play three games in Boston.

Perhaps not having a losing record is enough to be happy, but let's review the depth chart and then you decide.

Men on a disabled list are marked in bold, players who have been sidelined for any amount of time this season italicized.

The Rotation

RH Alex Cobb - DL | forearm tendinitis
LH Drew Smyly - shoulder tendinitis
RH Chris Archer
LH Matt Moore - DL | Tommy John
RH Jake Odorizzi

RH Alex Colome - pneumonia weight loss
RH Nate Karns
RH Burch Smith - DL | Tommy John
LH Enny Romero - MiLB DL | back injury
RH Matt Andriese
LH Everett Teaford

The Bullpen

CL Jake McGee (L) - DL | elbow bone spur surgery
SU Brad Boxberger
SU Kevin Jepsen
MD Steve Geltz
MD Ernesto Frieri
MD Grant Balfour - released
MD Jeff Beliveau (L) - DL | torn labrum
LM Erasmo Ramirez

MD Kirby Yates - DL | pectoral strain
MD Jose Dominguez - DL | shoulder tightness
MD C.J. Riefenhauser (L) - DL | shoulder inflammation
MD Xavier Cedeno (L)
MD Brandon Gomes

The Offense

DH John Jaso - DL | left wrist contusion
1B James Loney - oblique
2B Nick Franklin - DL | oblique
SS Asdrubal Cabrera - eye
3B Evan Longoria - hip
LF Desmond Jennings - DL | left knee bursitis
CF Kevin Kiermaier - illness
RF Steven Souza Jr - forearm strain
C1 Rene Rivera

C2 Bobby Wilson
INF Logan Forsythe
OF Brandon Guyer
OF David DeJesus
OF Joey Butler

C3 Curt Casali
1B/3B Juan Francisco - opted out of contract
INF Tim Beckham
2B Ryan Brett - DL | dislocated shoulder
OF Mikie Mahtook
1B Allan Dykstra

The additions to the list are Jennings's pesky left knee, and Dominguez's shoulder. When a reliever who throws 100 MPH is promoted and only tosses 93, I guess that should have been a sign. So again, Brandon Gomes.

Honestly, my thoughts on the bullpen right now can be easily surmised:

...but you make the call. Are you satisfied with the Rays depth right now?
