Team USA won 10-1. Richie Shaffer did not contribute, and Blake Snell's statistical impact was minimal, but it was nice to see them in game action.

Baseball America kept track of where batting-practice home runs landed, and you can find Shaffer pretty easily.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (47-43)

Matt Andriese was sharp, but he didn't get support in Durham's 3-1 loss to Gwinnett in 11 innings. He allowed Gwinnett's only run, but it was unearned due to a Mikie Mahtook error. He scattered just four hits over six innings with seven strikeouts and no walks. Enny Romero and Kirby Yates each threw two scoreless innings of relief, but Jordan Norberto allowed a two-run homer to Joey Terdoslavich in the 11th.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (8-8)

Ryne Stanek was in and out of trouble all night in Montgomery's 4-1 loss to Pensacola. He did not record a 1-2-3 inning, and the Blue Wahoos scored a run in three different innings against him. He finished with three runs allowed on five hits and four walks in five innings with six strikeouts. Patrick Leonard's two-out hit in the seventh provided the Biscuits' only run.

Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (7-11)

Brent Honeywell continued to settle in with Charlotte in its 8-3 win over Brevard County. The Stone Crabs two runs i three consecutive innings, starting with Armando Araiza's two-run single in the second. Willy Adames and Pat Blair singled in runs in the third, and Mike Marjama drove in two in the fourth. As for Honeywell, he turned in a quality start, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk in 6 1/3 innings with six strikeouts.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (9-9)

Chris Pike shut down West Michigan in Bowling Green's 5-2 win over the Whitecaps. His own throwing error cost him an unearned run in the second, but he retired 14 in a row before allowing a triple to a batter that would score the Whitecaps' second run. Pike finished with two runs -- one earned -- allowed on two hits and a walk in seven innings with four strikeouts. Grant Kay drove in the Hot Rods' first run in the fifth, and his RBI in the seventh provided the eventual winning run.

Short-Season Hudson Valley Renegades (12-10)

Richmond slugger Matt Dacey continued to rake in Hudson Valley's 14-6 win over Batavia. In his first four pro games after being drafted in the 21st round, he has eight hits, including six for extra bases, and he has 10 RBI in his last three games. His bases-clearing double in the third contributed to a six-run third inning that put the game out of reach early. Starter Angel Yepez struck out seven in 5 1/3 innings, but he was charged with four runs.

Rookie Princeton Rays (11-8)

Princeton pitching limited Bluefield to two hits in its 2-1 win in 11 innings. Jose Alvarado struck out five and scattered just a hit and a walk over five scoreless innings, and Spencer Moran only allowed a run in five innings, although it was a tying home run in the ninth. Zacrey Law led off the 11th with a single, and he later scored the winning run on Landon Cray's sacrifice fly.
