Game Notes: Archer vs Estrada

Yesterday the Rays took a 3-2 victory over the Blue Jays thanks to solo homers from Brandon Guyer and Curt Casali. The victory puts the Rays 3.5 games back of the Yankees in the East. Today they'll send their ace, Chris Archer, to the mound try and secure the series victory.

Arhcer had a poor start leading up the all-star game, in the actual even itself, he served a homerun to Andrew McCutchen of the Pirates. So far this year, Archer is 9-4 with a 2.74 ERA and a 2.63 FIP over the course of 19 starts and 121.2 innings pitched.

His opponent on the mound will be Marco Estrada.
