Triple-A Durham Bulls (42-38)

Durham used three solo home runs to earn a 5-3 win over Toledo. Richie Shaffer's 11th with the Bulls put them up 1-0 in the second, and Taylor Motter and J.P. Arencibia went deep back-to-back in the sixth to add insurance. Scott Diamond was solid, allowing two runs in six innings with five strikeouts

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (4-1)

Montgomery was postponed.

Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (2-5)

Willy Adames returned to the lineup with a home run in Charlotte's 5-2 win over Bradenton. After exiting Monday's game early and sitting out Tuesday, Adames homered in his second trip to the plate to give the Stone Crabs a 2-0 lead in the third. Armando Araiza homered in the sixth, and Yoel Araujo added insurance in the ninth with a tow-run single. Jake Odorizzi allowed a run in four innings before Kyle McPherson tossed two scoreless frames to get credited with the win. John Jaso had two hits but struck out three times, and James Loney was 2-for-3.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (3-4)

A seven-run inning was problematic in Bowling Green's 7-1 loss to Fort Wayne. Enderson Franco retired nine of the first 10 he faced, but the game fell apart in the fourth when the TinCaps collected six hits, including a three-run home run to cap the scoring. Franco was charged with all seven runs in four innings of work. Thomas Milone's single in the fifth scored Alec Sole for the Hot Rods' only run.

Short-Season Hudson Valley Renegades (6-6)

Hudson Valley had a forgettable 7-0 loss to Brooklyn. The Renegades' defense did not help matters with five errors that contributed to three runs.  Starter Greg Maisto was charged with three runs -- one earned -- in 3 1/3 innings, and Benton Moss followed with three runs -- two earned -- allowed in 2 1/3 innings. Hudson Valley was limited to two hits.

Rookie Princeton Rays (5-4)

Princeton held on for a 7-5 win over Greeneville. Down 2-1 in the fourth, Princeton scored five two-out runs, capped by a two-run single by Patrick Grady. Starter Blake Bivens allowed four runs -- two earned -- on five hits and a walk in 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts, and Alberto Casanas allowed just an unearned run in three innings of relief.

Rookie Gulf Coast League Rays (2-7)

A five-run eighth inning lifted the GCL Rays to a 10-8 win over the GCL Twins. It looked like another clunker when they were down 7-2 after three innings, but a three-run fourth pulled them closer. The game was decided in the eighth when Andrew Velazquez cleared the bases with a single and scored himself on a two-error play. Starter Abrahan Rodriguez allowed seven runs -- four earned -- in 4 2/3 innings, and John Williams orchestrated 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief.
