The Rays have taken the first two games against the Tigers as their bats exploded last night for ten runs. Curt Casali has been leading the charge as he has hit four homers in the span of two game, becoming only the second rookie to ever do so and only the second Devil Ray to do so as Greg Vaughn accomplished the feat during his outstanding 2002 season with the team.
Today, the Rays will take on former MVP/CY Young winner, Justin Verlander who's been struggling this season. Going to the mound for the Rays will be Chris Archer.
Also, in a surprising move that somewhat makes sense, the Rays promoted Bobby Wilson from Durham. He'll serve as a backup for today's game as both Casali and Rene Rivera are in the lineup. Wilson will be presumably sent down following the game.
