Blake Snell dominated again.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (60-66)

Richie Shaffer homered twice, and Blake Snell dominated in Durham's 17-2 bludgeoning of Toledo. Taylor Motter's two-run homer in the first started a four-run inning, and Nick Franklin's three-run shot in the third gave the Bulls an 8-0 lead before the Mud Hens even scored. Other than a solo home run allowed in the fourth, Snell was sharp, striking out seven and just allowing a hit and two walks in five frames.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (31-20)

Montgomery blew a one-run lead in the ninth without even allowing a hit in its 6-5 loss to Tennessee in game one of Wednesday's doubleheader. After Tyler Goeddel's home run in the top half of the inning gave the Biscuits a lead, Brad Schreiber walked the first two batters he faced. After a bunt moved them into scoring position, Schreiber was unable to get the tying run at home on a ball hit in the infield. The following hitter laid down a squeeze bunt to win the game. Starter Jaime Schultz allowed five runs in five innings, , and Jake DePew also homered.

The Biscuits earned a 4-2 win in a rain-shortened game two. Dayron Varona singled home two runs in the third, and Cameron Seitzer later homered to add insurance. Austin Pruitt struck out three and allowed two runs -- one earned -- in five innings, good for a complete game thanks to the rain.

Class A-Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (18-32)

Chih-Wei Hu stumbled against his former team in Charlotte's 6-4 loss to Fort Myers. After a 1-2-3 first, he allowed a two-out run in the second, and the Miracle added three runs an inning later. Hu finished with four runs allowed on six hits and two walks in four innings with four strikeouts.

Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods (25-26)

Bowling Green's offense was quiet in its 4-1 loss to Fort Wayne. Grant Kay's sacrifice fly in the seventh accounted for the Hot Rods' only run, and they were already down 4-0. Starter Brad Wallace allowed four runs -- two earned -- in five innings.

Short-Season Hudson Valley Renegades (28-28)

Benton Moss got Hudson Valley's second half off to a nice start in the Renegades' 6-2 win over Connecticut. He allowed a solo home run in the third but otherwise pitched well, allowing just a run on three hits and a walk in five innings with six strikeouts. A half inning after Moss allowed the home run, Manny Sanchez hit one of his own, a two-run shot that gave Hudson Valley the lead for good.

Rookie Princeton Rays (31-24)

Princeton was off.

Rookie Gulf Coast League Rays (12-38)

The GCL Rays were an inning away from a rare win but fell, 5-4, to the GCL Red Sox. Ty Nichols struck out the first batter of the inning, but he still reached base and moved up to second on a throwing error. A single and pair of sacrifice flies then put the GCL Red Sox on top. Nichols was charged with four runs -- two earned -- in three innings, and Ernesto Frieri worked a pair of scoreless frames.
