ESPN has announced that Chris Archer will provide pre- and post-game commentary for games 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7. He will also join their radio broadcast for one inning in each of these games.
Those of us who follow the Rays know that Archer is the one guy who gives really intelligent responses to every interview question, and that he has a lot of interesting things to say. Including him in their World Series coverage is a smart move by ESPN.
Archer provided commentary for last year’s Wild Card coverage as well as the World Series. He received high praise for his engaging enthusiasm; thoughtful insight; and even his sharp sartorial style. Danny pulled together some reactions to his 2015 appearances (some samples below):
If Chris Archer wasn't so good at throwing sliders, he'd instantly be one of the best baseball commentators.

Chris Archer is 1 of the 10-12 best pitchers on Earth, and might also be 1 of the 10-12 baseball commentators on Earth. What a jerk.
