The Rays have announced their roster for this Spring's exhibition game in Cuba on March 22nd, which will include Cuban born outfield prospect Dayron Varona.

Here is the full roster, as reported by the team's twitter account:

Alex Cobb and Chase Whitley make the journey, despite both still recovering from Tommy John surgery. Not on the roster are starters pitching in the days before and after the exhibition: Jake Odorizzi and Erasmo Ramirez. They will remain in camp.

Otherwise, the roster reflects what is close to an Opening Day roster for the team, with room for position battles in the outfield, at catcher, and for 25th man.

One notable omission from the roster is Cuban descendant RHP Jake Faria, whose maternal grandmother was from the island nation.

LHP Matt Moore will start the game for the Rays.

The game will be broadcast on EPSN, and will feature a start time of 2:00 EST. President Obama will be among several dignitaries in attendance, including St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman.

The Rays also made their first round of roster cuts today, which included OF Dayron Varona.
