Game 6.2 Notes: Tampa Bay Rays vs Baltimore Orioles

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

No rain, just cold.

Today's Starting Pitchers:

2015 W L ERA FIP K% BB% AVG HR G/GS IP fWAR
Jake Odorizzi 9 9 3.35 3.61 21.4% 6.6% .229 18 28/28 169.1 2.9
Vance Worley 4 6 402 3.82 15.8% 6.8% .282 6 23/8 71.2 0.5

Jake Odorizzi delivered the best outing of any Rays starter making their first appearance of the year as he allowed two runs -- one earned -- against the Blue Jays potent offense, striking out 10 hitters, walking two, and allowing just four hits over five and two-thirds innings pitched.

Vance Worley Scouting Report:

Worley was once considered the future ace of the Phillies rotation, but injuries have derailed those aspirations. Since those days, Worley has split time between the majors and the minors, but he may have found his niche as a swing man last season for the Pirates. Following the end of the 2015 season, the Pirates designated Worley for assignment and the Orioles swooped in and claimed him.
