Game 7 Notes: Tampa Bay Rays vs Cleveland Indians

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Rays return home to face their second year manager's previously coached team.

Today's Starting Pitchers:

2015 W L ERA FIP K% BB% AVG HR GS IP fWAR
Corey Kluber 9 16 3.49 2.97 27.7% 5.1% .228 22 32 222 5.5
Matt Moore 3 4 5.43 4.82 16.6% 8.3% .295 9 12 63 0.3

Matt Moore is coming off a solid outing against Toronto with one lone blemish as he threw a mistake to Josh Donaldson that the reigning MVP deposited into the seats in left for a three run homer. Other than that though, Moore was fine as he racked up five innings, struck out six, walked two, and allowed three runs on five hits, most notably the Donaldson homer.

Corey Kluber Scouting Report:

The 2014 American League Cy Young award winner had another stellar year in 2015, even if his record didn't show it. The main problem he struggled with the home run ball, as his dinger rate nearly doubled to a ridiculous 2.5%. So, Corey Kluber is very good, although he did run into some trouble his first time out in 2016 as he took on the Red Sox, giving up four runs on nine hits, as he struck out five and walked two in just over five innings, picking up a loss.
