Charlotte and Bowling Green were off yesterday, as they head back to their home stadiums to gear up for a new series.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (10-9)
Durham had a rough outing last night, falling to the Indianapolis Indians 12-1. Starter Austin Pruitt had an especially rough game, giving up eight runs in just 3.2 innings of work. On the other hand, righty Ryan Garton had a strong appearance out of the pen, throwing two perfect innings the seventh and eighth, striking out four. The Durham offense struggled in the game, managing only four hits. The only home run came on a Taylor Motter solo home run in the bottom of the second, his second home run of the season.
Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (10-8)
The Biscuits fell in a close game last night to the Jacksonville Suns, with a final score of 4-3. Starting pitcher Ryne Stanek went six innings, striking out eight and allowing only three hits and one earned run. However, four errors by the Biscuits led to three unearned runs for the Suns and stuck Stanek with the loss. At the plate, Casey Gillaspie had a strong performance, going 2-for-3 with a double and a solo home run. Jake Bauers and Juniel Querecuto contributed the other two RBIs, and Johnny Field notched a triple.
Class-A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (9-9)
Charlotte had a day off as they head home to face St. Lucie.
Class-A Bowling Green (8-10)
Bowling Green had a day off as well. They gear up for the Clinton Lumberkings.
