Smyly pitched alright during his season debut against the Blue Jays on Monday, but he still came away with the loss despite allowing just six in close to seven innings on the mound. Three of those hits happened to go over the wall for homers as Smyly also allowed five runs. He also struck out five and walked a hitter.

A 2011, third round draft pick, Wright spent four seasons working his way through the ranks before finally making his major league debut in 2015. Wright would enjoy an excellent beginning to his career, not allowing a run for his first 15 innings. Then, the wheels fell off and he struggled for the rest of the year, splitting time between the majors and minors.
