- On Thursday night, Kyle Schwarber was involved in a terrible collision with Dexter Fowler. Schwarber had to be carted off the field and after a MRI on Friday, it was revealed that he would be out for the rest of the season due to tears of his ACL and LCL.
- Trevor Story has placed himself in the spotlight of the baseball career with an incredible start to the season. He has already mashed six home runs over the team's first four games...as well as his first four career games.
- After 30 grueling innings of being held scoreless, the Padres offense finally broke out, scoring 13 runs.
- The Phillies this year are like the 2002 Devil Rays reincarnated, as they have yet to win a game this year and they'll certainly have more than their fair share of miscues and gaffes, like this play.
- So Josh Donaldson left Wednesday's game with an apparent injury. He crushed a grand slam today, thank you so much Billy Beane...at least then Toronto's bullpen blew a five run lead to Boston.
- Topkin previews tonight's game, which more than likely will be postponed due to the weather.
- Baseball America has a write-up on Blake Snell, featuring a video of opening day start for the Bulls.
- Last night, the Dodgers had Ross Stripling making his major league debut. He threw a no-hitter through the first seven innings, but after a walk, he reached 100 pitches and was removed. The reliever who replaced him, promptly allowed a home run, ending the bid. The reasoning was understandable -- prior TJS, rain, and close game -- but still.
