Game 32 Preview: Tampa Bay Rays vs Seattle Mariners

Can the Rays avoid a sweep at the hands of the first place Mariners?

Today's Starting Pitchers:

2016 W L ERA FIP K% BB% AVG BABIP HR GS IP
Chris Archer 2 4 4.23 4.22 28.8% 10.0% .268 .351 7 7 38.1
Taijuan Walker 2 2 1.97 2.95 22.1% 2.3% .238 .287 3 6 32

Chris Archer has been on a roll as of late, allowing just two runs over his last 19 innings pitched, striking out 20 hitters over that timeframe. He picked up his second win of the season after his last start as he pitched six scoreless innings against the Angels on the sixth as he only allowed five hits, walked two, and struck out six.

Taijuan Walker Scouting Report:

Walker is off to an awesome start in 2016, finally looking like the ace the Mariners have envisioned him as for years. So far in each of six starts, he's given up two runs or less in each of them, and an additional note is he's only walked batters in three of them. He was removed from his last start early though, after struggling through two innings, the reason for his quick exit was due to neck spasms.
