Rays prospects and minor leagues: Daniel Robertson drives in four in Durham's barrage

Granden Goetzman went 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs in Montgomery's 9-6 loss.

Butch Dill-USA TODAY Sports

Bowling Green lost a close game to Peoria Chiefs with most of their runs coming on mistakes by the Chiefs. Double-A Montgomery lost last night, but does have an off day to recover today.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (12-14)

Durham's offense finally came alive Monday night, smacking around the Indianapolis Indians in a 9-2 win. Daniel Robertson led the scoring with four RBIs, coming a home run short of the cycle. Dayron Varona, Taylor Motter, Richie Shaffer, Kyle Roller, and Cameron Seitzer all added an RBI to the offensive barrage. Starter Adam Wilk went seven innings and allowed two unearned runs on six hits and one walk with six strikeouts.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (13-11)

The Biscuits blew a two-run lead in the bottom of the seventh and ended up losing to the Chattanooga Lookouts, 9-6. Jared Mortensen took the loss, allowing three runs in 2.1 innings and Brett Marshall had a blown save in the ensuing 0.2 innings. Granden Goetzman plenty more than his share at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three RBIs, one double, and one triple. Johnny Field hit his 18th RBI of the season, and Mike Marjama and Juniel Querecuto also batted in a run each.

Class-A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (13-12)

Thanks to strong relief pitching, the Stone Crabs were able to their two-run lead and secure a 4-2 victory. Ian Gibaut and Edwin Fierro combined to allow only one hit over 3.2 innings. Riley Unroe kept up his torrid start with a 2-for-3 performance which included a double. Grant Kay, Mac James, Nick Ciuffo, and Landon Cray all chipped in one RBI each to get Charlotte the win.

Class-A Bowling Green (12-13)

Bowling Green was close but ultimately fell to the Peoria Chiefs, 5-4. Jose Mujica lasted only four innings and allowed three runs, but in the end the loss fell on Reece Karalus, who allowed the deciding run in the bottom of the seventh. Michael Russel had the only RBI for the Hot Rods on a RBI single in the fifth inning. The other three Bowling Green runs came on a throwing error and a wild pitch.
