Mat Andriese will make his 2016 season debut today as the Rays promoted him from Triple-A Durham following last night's game. The Rays will move Matt Moore's start to tomorrow against the Mariners. So far this year in Durham, Andriese has been fantastic and delivered possibly the best start of is professional career his last time on the mound as he delivered seven shutout innings, while he struck out 14, allowed just three hits, and walked a batter.
Nick Tropeano Scouting Report:
Tropeano's season has consistently trended downwards from his first start of the season where he delivered five scoreless innings against the Athletics, and just got worse from there until he put up his worst start of the year on 3rd against the Brewers where he again lasted just five innings, but this time gave up five runs on five hits while he walked five and struck out six. His command is what has gotten him in trouble and it has also caused him to have some short outings as he's barely averaged over five innings a start thus far.
