We're starting to see short-season rosters take shape, and there have been a couple potentially interesting takeaways from Hudson Valley's pitching staff so far: Spencer Moran and Travis Ott coming out of the bullpen. It will take some time to see if these are permanent moves or just maneuvering to manage innings.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (31-41)
Daniel Robertson's bases-loaded walk in the 10th gave Durham a 3-2 win over Charlotte. With two outs and two runners in scoring position, the Knights walked Johnny Field to pitch to Robertson and Tommy Kahnle could not find the strike zone. Starter Justin Marks struck out four and allowed two runs in 6 1/3 innings, and Dylan Floro got the win with three strikeouts in two scoreless innings of relief.
Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (34-36)
Montgomery was off.
Class-A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (33-34)
Charlotte returned to the field with a 7-2 loss to Fort Myers. The Stone Crabs had their two runs three batters into the game when Alec Sole doubled in Andrew Velazquez and scored on Mac James' groundout, but they couldn't do any additional damage despite two more singles. Yonny Chirinos allowed four runs in six innings, and the rehabbing Jonny Venters left with an injury.
Class-A Bowling Green Hot Rods (37-32)
Bowling Green was off.
Short-Season Hudson Valley Renegades (2-2)
A pair of Renegades shut down State College in the Renegades' 5-0 win Monday. After starter Jose Alonzo pitched four no-hit frames, Travis Ott threw a pair of innings before the Spikes finally collected their only hit of the game to lead off the seventh. Joseph Astacio singled in the first two runs of the game in the second inning, and an RBI double from Angel Perez highlighted a three-run fifth.
