The most recent three-home run game I can recall in the organization was Richie Shaffer kind of early after his promotion to Durham in 2015. If there was a minor league play index, I could know for sure.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (34-42)
Durham scored first, but it could not add on in its 4-1 loss to Lehigh Valley. Eury Perez, who apparently plays for the Durham Bulls, led off the game with a double and scored on Richie Shaffer's single later in the inning, but the Bulls would only get one hit over the final six innings. Adam Wilk was tagged with the loss despite a good outing, allowing two runs in seven innings with seven strikeouts, and Ryan Webb allowed two runs -- one earned.
Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (2-0)
Montgomery outlasted Biloxi by a 10-9 score. The Biscuits sent 10 to the plate and scored six runs in the first inning, but the Shuckers responded in kind. Jake Bauers returned the lead to Montgomery with a two-run home run in the second, and RBI hits by Braxton Lee and Mike Marjama in the third gave the Biscuits all the offense they needed. Taylor Guerrieri allowed all six first-inning runs and only recorded two outs, and Steve Ascher's 4 1/3 innings of two-run ball were crucial.
Class-A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (1-0)
Charlotte was rained out.
Class-A Bowling Green Hot Rods (0-2)
A nine-run deficit was too much to overcome in Bowling Green's 10-5 loss to Fort Wayne. Already up 2-0, the TinCaps went to work in the fifth, hitting three home runs on their way to a seven-run inning. Michael Velasquez was charged with those first nine runs in 4 2/3 innings. David Olmedo-Barrera and Jake Cronenworth each had two-RBI hits.
Short-Season Hudson Valley Renegades (3-5)
Lowell improved to 8-0 in the early going as Hudson Valley fell to the Spinners, 2-1. The Renegades got on the board first in the second without the benefit of a hit, and offense was difficult to come by after that. Renegades hitters had just three hits. Eduar Lopez struck out six and allowed two runs in five innings, and Travis Ott punched out five in two scoreless innings of relief.
Rookie Princeton Rays (2-0)
Adrian Rondon hit his first three professional home runs in Princeton's 16-2 rout of Burlington. The young shortstop's first dinger capped a four-run first inning, his three-run shot in the sixth extended the P-Rays lead to 8-1, and an eighth-inning grand slam capped the scoring. Rafelin Lorenzo also homered and had two extra base hits. Starter Resly Linares allowed a run in four innings, and Ethan Clark threw three scoreless innings to finish the game.
Rookie Gulf Coast League Rays (0-0)
So it begins. The GCL Rays game was suspended.
