Bowling Green's pitching continues to struggle, allowing nine runs in Monday's game. Its staff ERA is 3.89, which ranks 15th overall in the 16-team Midwest League. The Hot Rods have put out 5.2 runs per game so far this season, but the offensive output isn't enough to overcome their paltry pitching. With a 38-36 overall record barely above .500, it is clear Bowling Green has to pitch better if it want to succeed.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (34-44)

The Bulls were postponed due to rain. The game will be made up Tuesday in a doubleheader, starting at 6:05 PM.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (4-1)

Montgomery jumped in front quickly, giving Yonny Chirinos a win in his Double-A debut, a 9-2 victory over the Biloxi Shuckers. Chirinos went six innings, striking out five while allowing two runs in a solid debut. Willy Adames hit an RBI single, and Jake Bauers followed him up with a three-run home run to break open the game early in the first. Kean Wong added an RBI groundout in the same inning to give the Biscuits an early five-run lead. Adames added another RBI later, along with Cade Gotta and Thomas Coyle. Ryne Stanek was impressive in relief, pitching three one-hit innings while striking out four.

Class-A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (2-3)

The Stone Crabs split a doubleheader with the Palm Beach Cardinalsdropping Game 1, 2-1. Henry Centeno allowed an early unearned run in the top of the third, but Alec Sole had an RBI single in the bottom of the inning to even the score. However, Jeff Howell allowed another run in the fifth that ultimately became the deciding run.

In Game 2, Greg Harris threw a two-hit gem, leading the Stone Crabs to a seven-inning, 2-0 victory. Harris picked up his fifth win of the season, going the full seven innings while striking out four and walking two. In the fourth, Alec Sole hit a triple and was quickly driven in by Justin Williams to open up the scoring. Armando Araiza had a RBI single later in the inning to pad Charlotte's lead, and the score remained the same from there on. Brandon Guyer made a rehab appearance for the Stone Crabs in Game 2 but went 0-for-3.

Class-A Bowling Green (1-4)

A late rally didn't have enough to give Bowling Green the win as they fell to the West Michigan Whitecaps, 9-5. Starter Roel Ramirez allowed eight runs on 13 hits in just four innings of work. Yoel Espinal also allowed a lone run on a home run in his four innings of relief. Brett Sullivan had an RBI single, Brandon Lowe drove in two on another RBI single, and Jake Cronenworth hit a two-run double to give the Hot Rods a five-run rally in eighth, but it went for naught in the end.

Short-Season Hudson Valley Renegades (4-7)

While it led by three runs at one point in the game, Hudson Valley ended up losing to the Brooklyn Cyclones, 6-5, in 10 innings. Oscar Rojas had two RBIs, and Nathaniel Lowe, Angel Perez, and Jonathan Popadics all contributed an RBI each to fuel the Renegades' offense. Spencer Moran allowed only one run through five innings, but the bullpen allowed five runs through five combined innings which ultimately lost Hudson Valley the game.

Rookie Princeton Rays (3-2)

The lead exchanged hands multiple times as Princeton lost to the Danville Braves, 5-4, in 11 innings. Danville scored three first-inning runs on Hector Lopez and scored another off Sandy Brito in the sixth. Adrian Rondon hit a two-run single in the fourth, and Eleardo Cabrera hit a solo home run to bring the game within one in the bottom of the sixth. Blake Butera hit an RBI double to tie the game up in the seventh, but Reimin Ramos allowed the winning run in the eleventh for his first loss of the season.

Rookie GCL Rays (0-3)

Despite taking an early lead, the bullpen cost the Rays this game in an 8-3 loss to the GCL Red Sox. First-round pick Joshua Lowe opened up the scoring in the fourth with an RBI single and Jose Tonton scored on a fielding error on a Vidal Brujan single. Thomas Lebron threw five scoreless innings to keep the Red Sox in check through the beginning of the game. However, Anthony Parente allowed three runs in the seventh to give the Red Sox the lead, and Joe Graziano only worsened the damage, allowing five in the eighth. The Rays tacked on another run in the ninth on a RBI double from Brujan, but it was far too late.
