Rays prospects and minor leagues: Schultz shines in 1-hit gem

Dainel Robertson hit his third home run of the year, a three-run bomb

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Charlotte's series finale with the Tampa Yankees was rained out and the Stone Crabs are off Tuesday as well. Bowling Green was off Monday but heads back into the action Tuesday against the Fort Wayne Tincaps.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (27-32)

The Bulls had plenty of leeway in a 6-0 win over the Norfolk Tides. Jaime Schultz spun a gem, striking out ten and allowing only one hit over seven innings. Schultz had a perfect game through six innings, but lost it in the seventh after the Twitter alert curse.

Daniel Robertson teed off for his third home run of the year, a three-run shot in the fifth inning. Jake Hager went 2-for-4 with a RBI and run scored in his Triple-A debut. Johnny Field went 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI, while Luke Maile batted 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (28-29)

Errors were the deciding factor in this game, with two unearned runs costing the Biscuits a 4-2 game to the Biloxi Shuckers. Mike Marjama committed catcher's interference and Kean Wong had a fielding error, both of which lead to runs. Chih-Wei Hu had an average start, clocking in with a game score right at 50. While four runs were ultimately charged to Hu, two were unearned as mentioned earlier. Jake Bauers led the offense with two hits and a RBI, and Braxton Lee came around to score twice. Willy Adames plated his 24th RBI of the year on a RBI double in the sixth.

Class-A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs (29-29)

Charlotte was rained out, and the game is canceled.

Class-A Bowling Green Hot Rods (29-27)

Bowling Green was off.
